Remark Photographer
P-8115 This is all that in known to remain of the 100 P-40s the American Volunteer Group ("Flying Tigers") operated during World War II. Piloted by William McGarry, the aircraft was shot down during a raid on the Japanese occupied airfield at Chiang Mai on March 24, 1942. McGarry bailed out and became a PoW. The wreck was recovered from the nearby jungle in 1992 and is now on display in the Tango Squadron hangar.
