Looking Ahead, this is the site proposed for the showpiece airport in Asia - 1140 hectares accommodating two parallel runways for independent parallel operation with provision of full length taxi ways on either side of the runways. To be operational by the year 2012, ALL FINGERS CROSSED FOR THAT PART. |

This is the highway that runs along the edge of the site proposed for Mumbai's new international airport. The village onto which it is planned is called Chinchpada, ocupied by fishermen & peasent folks. Set into a scenic setting, its still waiting for the umpteenth nod of clearence. |
