Photographer’s remark

This B-17G is being restored in the museum. This plane was used in WWII, thereafter it was bought by a manufacturer which rebuilt it and put a fifth engine (turboprop) in the nose of the aircraft. Therefor they had to place the cockpit 4 ft backwards. It has been flying as testbed with the fifth (turboprop)engine in the nose. Nowadays, they restored the cockpit in its original position. They already put 60.000 hrs in restoring and it will take about another 10.000. About next year it will be flying as 'Liberty Belle'
