Photographer’s remark
UR-42352 Mfd 4/88 del 00, ex. RA-42352. Taking off from rwy 30. On May 26th 2003: The aircraft was on its 3rd VOR attempt to land at Trabzon´s Airport runway 29 when it hit Pilav Mountain and crashed near the town of Macka, some 28 km south of the city. At thev time the Yak was making a VOR approach and abandonned two earlier landing attempts due to low visibility. The plane was carrying 62 spanish military personnel operated in Afghanistan to their home base in Spain. (c) by Janne Laukkonen/FAP
