N9855F This Neptune Aviation Services (Missoula, MT) P2V-5F is one of 5 heavy air tankers, including 2 Aero Union P3's, working wildfires out of the Ardmore Airpark in Ardmore, OK. From here they responded to fires in Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, New Mexico, and Colorado. Notice the color of the grass, there was not a green blade to be found anywhere in the state. In rural areas (most of Oklahoma) the grass was waist high amongst bone-dry red oak and other brush. Very fast fires!
