VH-WET Fuselage and separated tail of crashed Grumman G44 Widgeon VH-WET Cn 1446 (ex N86640), photographed in the Hawker de Havilland Hangar, Townsville in January 1988. The aircraft (operated by Coral Wings) flipped over when landing on sand at Daintree River north of Cairns, Far North QLD. Returned to service after extensive repairs. Went to the New Guinea register in 4/94 (to Hassim Expeditions). Later Registered as ZK-AVM, owned by Owen Harnish and operated by Salt Air Ltd at Paihia NZ. Low Quality photo.
