Avro 698 Vulcan B2

Photographer’s remark

G-VLCN The 2012 Farnborough Airshow is personified in this telephoto lens overview taken on Sunday 15Jul2012. The tail of Vulcan G-VLCN / XH558, with Airbus A380 development aircraft F-WWDD on approach to Rwy 24 are at centre. The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) Lancaster PA474 and a USMC MV22 Osprey complete the picture. Prior to seeing XH558 flying in UK in July 2012, the first Vulcan I photographed was XH480 at Laverton Victoria Australia on 19Sep1965, and Sister-Ship to XH558 / G-VLCN - XH559, also at Laverton on 18Apr1971 at the RAAF 50th Anniversary Airshow. 1600 wide image.
